BOY, AGED 4
BACKGROUND
A family in Dubai were looking for a British Early Years specialist to work with their son, aged four, to develop his phonics, maths and science skills. Emphasis was to be placed on developing the child’s pronunciation as well as instilling confidence, perseverance and concentration in the boy to give him the tools to succeed when entering school and in later life.
OUTCOME
A number of Primary and Early Years specialists were identified who also had experience working in governess roles. Initial calls were set up with the family before they selected their preferred candidate to fly to Dubai for a trial period. Upon being appointed to the role the governess and child have developed an excellent rapport and she has also started working with the younger daughter, aged three.
